Data deletion request

Last updated: 30 July 2026

This page explains how to ask ShipUp.app to delete the data we hold about you, including any data we received through WhatsApp, Instagram, or Facebook Messenger.

If you are a merchant using ShipUp

Email us at alnoortradersonline@gmail.com from the address on your ShipUp account, with the subject “Data deletion request”. Tell us whether you want:

  • A connected channel disconnected — we remove the stored access token for that WhatsApp number, Instagram account, or Facebook Page, and stop receiving its messages. You can also do this yourself at any time in Settings → Inbox channels.
  • Conversation data deleted — we delete the message threads and their contents that we received for your connected channels.
  • Your whole account deleted — we delete your workspace, its users, and the data we hold for it.

We action verified requests within 30 days and confirm by email when the deletion is complete.

If you messaged a business that uses ShipUp

If you are a customer who sent a WhatsApp, Instagram, or Messenger message to a business, that business — not ShipUp — decides how your data is used. We process it only on their behalf.

Contact the business you messaged and ask them to delete your data; they can do so through ShipUp. You may also email us at alnoortradersonline@gmail.com and we will pass the request to the relevant business and assist them in completing it.

What happens when a channel is disconnected

Removing a messaging channel deletes the stored access token immediately, which ends our access to that account and stops further message delivery to us. Existing conversation history stays available to the merchant unless they also ask for it to be deleted, or their account is closed.

Retention limits

Where we must keep certain records for legal, tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention reasons, we retain the minimum necessary for the required period and delete the rest. Backups are rotated on a schedule, so residual copies may persist briefly after deletion before being overwritten.
